Vince

Hi Natalie and all the fantastic volunteers @ PDCR,

I figure it is Vince's turn to be part of the happy tails updates.

Vince is doing fantastic!! We keep asking ourselves "what did we do before Vince?"

He is still a silly pup, but it is amazing to see him mature into abeautiful dog. The chubby pup we adopted in February has turned into astrong, energetic, and confident dog. He is no longer fearful of being dropped off and abandoned by the ones he loves. He has really filled ourlives with love and laughs. He is still such a mush ball, enjoying cuddles(not with you but on top of you!) and plays at the dog run (I am pretty sure he thinks it is a party just for him). He is inseparable with our first rescue dog, Bauer. They love falling asleep together on the couch while looking out the front window. Vince loves Koocanusa Lake where he has officially ran off birds, deer and an alpaca. I am not sure if PDCR realizes that we adopted a potbelly pig rather than a pitbull X because he loves rolling in mud holes and snorting like a pig (it is like he is laughing!)

We are so thankful for the second (and third) chance Vince was given byPDCR. Without him our lives would not be the same (and definitely less exciting).
Thank you,
Brittany and Kris

Logan (a.k.a Davy) & Luna (a.k.a. Shasta)

Logan started his wee life as one of the Pirates Davy ... who knew this wee little pooch would become the big boy he is today!
We drove to meet Davy and his brothers a snowy day when he was almost 5 weeks old and he came to live with us in December. His first birthday just past on October 12. Best birthday surprise was meeting up with his mama Shasta (now Luna) and her wonderful new family. You can see by the pictures Logan is a big boy compared to his mom. It was a very cold afternoon but so good to see them and Luna's pooch pal Rosie along with her people!Logan is unaware of his size and romps and plays, with our 5 other dogs and the foster dogs that spend some time in our home, as if he were petite. He is such a sweet lovely boy. He is great where ever he goes, loves everyone and makes a lasting impression ... sometimes literally having cleared a low table with his ever wagging tail!
We love our gentle giant.
Thank you so much PDCR & foster mom Julia for giving him such a great start!
Jodi
It was such a treat to meet Jodi and Logan at the park for a reunion with Luna. Jodi had decided to keep Logan's size to herself and let it be a surprise. I couldn't quite believe my eyes when he came gallumphing out of the truck. I yelled, "HE'S HUGE!". It was hard to believe how big he'd gotten, and hilarious to watch him and Luna running together. They do the same pace with Luna going flat out and Logan cantering at a leisurely pace beside with those long legs!
We had great fun explaining to some of the other dog people at the park that Luna is Logan's Mamma - everyone does a double-take!It was lots of fun to see what a sweet boy he is, and really really lovely.
Thanks again Jodi for coming out to meet with us, we'll have to do it again! And thanks again Julia for the gift of Luna and all you did to give her a great transition to our home. She is a truly snuggly girl, who really loves life and is smart, but nutty and a huge goof ball. She adores Sophie and listens to her well and also snuggles with her all the time. I can't overstate how much we love love love her.
Take care both of you!

Yogi (aka Bart)

Hi my name is Yogi, I used to be named Black Bart from the Pirate puppies.

My parents decided I looked like a little bear when they got me home so the name Yogi stuck. I turned a year old on Monday and my mom thought it was time for an update! I got adopted last December at an adoption fair and had no problems fitting into my family. I lucked out and got two older brothers! One of my brothers only has two legs but we play all the time and sometimes get into trouble but nothing too bad. My other brother, Skunk, is furry and has four legs and we play and wrestle all of the time. Skunk might be smaller than me but he is still my big brother and when he tells me enough...that really means enough! I was lucky enough to be able to go to Waterton this summer a couple times and really love it in the water...that's so much more fun than a bath. I love going for walks, car rides, chasing my brothers, camping and vegging out on Mom and Dad's bed.

Thanks so much for finding me a good home it has made me and my family soooo happy, we really appreciate everything you guys do!
