Carly (aka Snip)

Hi! Sorry this has been a long time coming but here are some pictures of our adorable Carly. She has fit in here very well and she definitely keeps us very busy. We have had 4 "pee free" days in the house and she is sleeping between 6-7 hours during the night. Casey plays her out quite well and they have lots of girl talk. Cleo (our cat) still looks at us funny but she flicks her tail at Carly and sometimes chases Carly's tail. Casey makes a good teacher and slowly we can see progression. We still make lots of mistakes as owners however we laugh when we fail.

Today Carly took her first road trip to Canmore and she did great. We had the crate but she preferred to sleep on the back seat. I rode in the back seat there but was able to sit up front again on the way back. Carly runs like an elephant and loves to be chased by Casey.

Enjoy!

Max (aka Mickey)

Well...he made it! From his tough start in life, through PDCR, to today...what a change! Max is 47 lbs of energy and fun and has turned into such an intelligent, entertaining and faithful companion. He's not a huge snuggler yet can easily be found as my second shadow; never far from either inside or outside-very sweet!

Guess what I am really trying to tell you is....how much I've learned, how lucky we are and to say once again on Max's birthday...Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and keep doing what you do so well! (Please pass this along to who ever had been his foster mom...she laid some great foundation for us to build on!)

Marlene n' Max =0)

Happy Birthday Max from all of us at PDCR!!!

Toby

I just wanted to let you know that Toby has adjusted very well in his new home. At first his new siblings weren't that keen on having someone new to share their home with. With Toby's loving little personality they are really learning to love him. He loves to curl up on the bed with us as well as share the big dog bed with Rusty. It is so much fun to watch him play fetch, he is really fast. He is a real pleasure to have in the family. Thank you for all that you and the other volunteers do for the dogs. We are very grateful to have Toby.

Sincerely
Anita

Bingo Part 2 (a.k.a. Frodo)

Hello to everyone.

Just wanted to give you a brief update on BINGO. To sum it up in a nut shell.....WE LOVE HIM. He is an amazing dog. He has fit right in with our family. None of us can imagine life without him. We just went camping for five days. He was such a great boy. He was off leash 90% of the time and made friends with so many other dogs and people. By the time we left everyone in the campsite was say "Hi Bingo or here comes Bingo". We did not have to worry about him at all. We went exploring a lighthouse. I took a picture of him at the bottom and we were at the top. Well before we knew it, up the stairs comes Bingo. Then we went down and he just followed like it was nothing. They were steep too. I just wanted to update you and Thank you once again for letting us adopt him. He is a true blessing in our lives.

Sadie (a.k.a. Jovi)

Sadie is doing great!!! She is my finance (Jon) and mine first dog together and she brings so much joy to our lives everyday. She is a very active dog, usually going for a run every morning and a long walk in the park at night. Her favourite activities are playing in the river and chasing her frisbee. She also has many playmates that she plays with on weekends.

Sadie has a wonderful personality!!! She always looks like she is smiling. She follows me around the house and is just happy being where I am. She loves to sleep on our bed but only if there is one person in it. Otherwise, she sleeps in her crate or on the floor in our room.

When we got Sadie Jon said he didn't want her on the couches however, her first few days in our home she was sooo itchy that she would scratch till she was whimpering. Jon would scoop her up and cuddle her on the couch and tell her if she fell asleep that the itchiness would go away. So to this day her favourite place to sleep is of course on the couch.

Thank you so much for everything that PDCR does to save these wonderful dogs and finding them loving forever homes.
Yours Truly,
Brittany and Jon
