Lizzie (Tara)

Lizzie came into rescue from an area shelter that had found her wandering the streets. She came in on Wednesday and was gone to her new home by Friday, she did not even have a chance to make to the blog.

Her new owners love her to pieces and sent us these recent photos of her.

Sophie & Zoey (aka Midge)

I post everyone else's happy endings on here and thought it was time I share mine....

Sophie was my second foster dog and within a few days I knew she was home, I do not think she even made it on the blog. Her family had moved and left her behind, why I am still not sure, you could not ask for a better dog. From the day I picked her up she has been a happy addition to our home, it was like she had been there all along. She was a fantastic mother to her nine puppies that joined shortly after her arrival, and still takes the role as mom to the new foster dogs that come to stay.

Zoey came to me in September, I have lost count at this point what number foster she was but in the 30's I think. She was picked up by a bylaw officer and her owners did not want to pay the $25 fine to get her back. I remember the first time I saw her so scared in her little kennel. She did make it to the blog but I knew the minute I met her she was coming home to stay. She is a great little girl who is my constant shadow in hopes I sit down so we can cuddle.

I am happy to be working with PDCR and helping the many dogs find their way, and in doing so I found my two sweet girls and could not imagine my life without them.

Llouie

We recently received the following update on Llouie who was adopted back in 2007......

Agility

I thought you would like to know that Llouie got his Starters ADC title a month ago. There was a photographer there recently and you will find some good pics of him having a blast. (Except the teeter which he is still hesitant about – but the little guy does it anyway!)

Big brother Sherman was there too, but at 13 he is jumping only 10” FEO, and just for fun.

Max (formerly Mickey)

Max, (Maxwell Smart-aka Mickey) joined us September 2008 as a 2 1/2 month old reserve rescued pup. He's grown to be a medium sized adorable GermanShepherd/Heinz 57 mix; is oh so smart & a total character! He is as yet undecided about his left ear & if it should match his right ear or not? He loves to be active & puppy mischief has him disturbing our old cats' peace. Max has stolen our hearts completely as he's a loyal companion, awesome on long walks or as a bicycling partner; plus a very alert watchdog around our home & farm.
PDCR - Thank You so much! =0)
